PostSubject: Round 7 Preview   Fri Feb 20, 2009 5:49 am

Leading up to this weekend's important clashes ...

AZ Alkmaar - Boca Juniors
You'd think there'd be only one winner but Simon has hit a wall in terms of form, drawing the last three games, while Malky has improved his results considerably in the last two weeks with two very good victories. I fancy Boca to again take points off of AZ. 1-1

Bordeaux - Atalanta
Scott's Bordeaux have on fire in both competitions in the last month or so while Jonny has consistently grinded out results. This division is so close that a draw won't be the end of the world for either of these guys. I think it will be tight even if both teams go for it. 0-0

Newcastle - Steaua Buchurest
Both teams are at the bottom of the table and usually tend to lack a killer punch. Newcastle managed it last week but if Steaua set out their stall to defend, a repeat of last week is highly unlikely. 0-0

Sydney FC - FC Zenit
SURELY Sydney must get a win on the board this time. After two disastrous weeks of losing to the bottom teams, third time could and really should be a charm for me. I think I have a good set of tactics this time. I have no excuses for not winning this comfortably but will really win it any way I can. Three points will make a huge difference in such a close division. 1-0

AZ Alkmaar - Boca Juniors
I can only see one winner in this game, but I wouldn't be to surprised if it was a draw. AZ surely are favourites going into the clash, but if malky can get his tic-tacs right, then he could be traveling home with a point. I will say 1-1

Bordeaux - Atalanta
Game of the week I think. 2nd V 3rd with only one point the difference. Bordeaux have been in great form as late, so it is up to me to work out how to stop it. I wont predict a scoreline, but I do expect a close game.

Newcastle - Steaua Buchurest
Both teams are struggeling and are lacking a striker to get some goals. It has 0-0 all over it, but I have a feeling home advantage will swing this one. I think 1-0 Newcastle

Sydney FC - FC Zenit
Sydney are in poor form at the moment, so FC Zenit will be hoping that this doesn't change!

Sydney look the big faourites to win, and the fact they are at home swings it for me.

I think 2-0

I'm pretty happy with the tactics I've picked for this game so I will be very disappointed if I record anything else but a win here. I need the points or I'm going to be too far behind going into the second half of the season.

AZ Alkmaar - Boca Juniors
AZ face a tough game to get back on track. Simon will be hungry im sure to try and stay at the top, but only a win will do. Can Brian get Boca firing at last? I fancy a draw!
I predict 0-0

Bordeaux - Atalanta
Jonny will be eager for bragging rights, not as eager as me! I know if I lose he wont shut up about it, so added pressure on me to ensure that doesnt happen.
Having said that, Im confident I can beat the italian minnows comfortably
I predict 3-0

Newcastle - Steaua Buchurest
Hmm this is an interesting one. My first thoughts would be, bore draw! Will either team show a business side on the pitch? Lets hope so

Sydney FC - FC Zenit
Craig is getting desperate lately, and Zenit prove a potential disaster fr them. Im sure Craig will be expecting a win, just remains to see if Derek sticks with his usual ways or not.
I predict 2-0

Atlanta-Airways give our team free flights, due to the fact we are such a class act!!

We bring the town nothing but happiness so in return, we get a private jet!!!

I hope none of your players choke on frogs legs from now until the game Razz
